Dear Reader
Dear Reader,
In my research paper I wrote about whether we should be worried about Artificial Intelligence (AI). More specifically, I discussed whether AI is going to make humans useless and obsolete. I presented the possibility of humans needing a Universal Basic Income, and explained if we should even bother with education in skilled fields. My target audience is current students and prospective students. My message could be considered motivational. I was able to motivate myself to continue education because though AI is advancing at a fast pace, humans are still in demand for skilled labor. For now, AI is a tool that helps people complete tasks, and not a total replacement of skilled humans.
To write this essay I started out using the Hunt Library search to find Peer Reviewed Scholarly Articles on my topic of AI. I utilized the CARS model that we learned about in Module 4 of English Composition 123. After I found interesting articles, I was able to fit them into the CARS worksheet. This helped a great deal because the CARS model organized the research into five separate pages, one for each scholarly article source. Module 4 also helped with writing the annotated bibliography. This bibliography reinforced the thoughts and organized the research to make the essay a great essay.
I received good comments from my peer review. The only request I had from the peer review was that they wished that I include more of the technological aspects of AI. I think that this was a valid request from a peer to include this in my essay. While I could have included more technological aspects of AI in my essay, I think that my essay did a good job answering my arguments. I would for sure add this additional content if I had a larger word count to work with.
Thanks,
